Matsunoki Martial Arts teaches Matsubayashi-Ryu Shorin-Ryu — a traditional Okinawan karate style — to students of all ages in Greenville, Ohio.
Our style traces back to O'Sensei Shoshin Nagamine, founder of Matsubayashi-Ryu on Okinawa. Matsunoki teaches under the World Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do Federation (WSKF), with instruction shaped by Hanshi Frank Grant, and is affiliated with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).
Certified WSKF instructors who train and teach at the dojo themselves — this isn't a franchise with rotating staff.
Lisa began training in January 1999, earned her black belt in 2005, and was awarded her 5th degree (Go Dan) rank in 2022. She is a certified instructor.

Sylvain started training in January 2007 in Canada, earned his black belt in July 2011, and was awarded his 4th degree (Yon Dan) rank in June 2022. He is a certified instructor.
